Therapy that’s

Creative ⊹ Grounded ⊹ Practical

I’m Molly Rushing, a staff therapist at Sōhum Therapy in NYC, offering holistic therapy for individuals navigating anxiety, depression, life transitions, or religious trauma.

My approach combines evidence-based practices like Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, with experiential approaches like expressive arts and mindfulness, bridging the practical with the intuitive.

With a background in Broadway, fitness, and corporate life, I bring creativity and humor to the therapy room, helping you move beyond talk toward lasting, embodied change.

My Services

Talk Therapy

My style is warm and collaborative, and I use a strengths-based approach in my work with clients. I am affirming of all identities and strive to honor your unique culture and lived experience. Together, we will identify your values and goals to help you create the changes you wish to see in your life.

Expressive Arts Therapy

My personal philosophy is that reflective insight, infused with embodied processes, can lead to deeper self-knowledge and transformation. Trained in Expressive Arts Therapy, I incorporate practices involving movement, poetry, writing, music, visual arts, and mindfulness to support deeper insight and meaning in the therapeutic process. • Religious trauma

I like the therapeutic space to feel warm and collaborative, where you can feel safe to explore your inner landscape and express what you find there.
